I will offer you a safe and confidential space where you can explore your difficulties. My practice is integrative with a person centred approach, so I will draw on various different theories depending on your issues. Particularly, useful is psychodynamic which means looking at your history and trying to finding the root cause. I am interested in people from all walks of life .
I originally trained and worked as a dancer which gave me the opportunity to travel and experience different ways of life from my own. This has taught me not to judge people and learn that everyone has their own personal struggles and strengths. Later, as a dance teacher, I learned even more about human nature and found that teaching children from an early age drew me to train as a Counsellor. Watching individuals develop into adults is a privileged viewpoint and so I find emotional development fascinating and then looking back on an adult’s history in the opposite direction equally interesting.
My practical training was at a Counselling Agency for survivors of rape and historic sexual abuse. These traumatic experiences brought all sorts of other problems to light and since then I have provided therapy for people with relationship issues, weight issues, issues regarding sexuality and more. Whatever is troubling you and making your life difficult, can be brought to the therapy room.
